News in brief

Girlguiding Lancashire Border
Hello and a warm welcome awaits you in Girlguiding Lancashire Border! We are a small County located around Bolton and South Bury, split into five divisions, all working hard to promote guiding wherever we can. In addition, we have a number of thriving Trefoil Guild groups who support us and enjoy an excellent activity programme of their own too.
The County also owns Height Nook, a superb country farmhouse perfect for Unit holiday breaks, close to Hoddlesden, Darwen.

Girlguiding Lancashire Border is part of Girlguiding UK which is the United Kingdom's largest voluntary organisation for girls and young women, with around half a million members including about 100,000 trained volunteer adult Leaders and supporters. 'Girlguiding UK' is an operating name of The Guide Association.
The Guide Association:

is incorporated and governed by Royal Charter
is a registered charity (number 306016).

What makes Girlguiding special?

Girls only space with no boys about
We all need some space without boys around sometimes! With Girlguiding UK girls can just be themselves - making friends, learning new skills and having fun.

All girls are welcome
Guiding is for girls of all backgrounds, abilities and nationalities

Girl talk
Girls like to talk, and in guiding we encourage them to tell other people about the things that matter to them.

It’s girl-centric
Girls lead the way in guiding, so the activities are what they want to do
